If you've ever dined at a Chik-fil-A you may have noticed that when you say "thank you" employees usually respond with "my pleasure." So why is it a thing? Fox news reports that legend has it that the chain's founder, Truett Cathy, got the idea while staying at the Ritz Carlton. Reportedly he felt when employees there replied with "my pleasure," it made the place stand out as a luxury establishment, and so he brought the term to Chik-fil-A. A Reddit user who works at the fast food chain says while it's not something officially taught in training, "'You're welcome' seems too indifferent, and we're told to use elevated language."(Fox
