Hi, my name is Max! I am a 7 year old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix looking for a forever home. I was surrendered by my previous owner because they did not have the time to spend with me; I also am known for marking my space. I am crate trained, I love walks, and I love people. In the short time I have been in rescue, I have only had one incident of marking. I love the outdoors and will tap at the door when I want to go out. I also love to watch my neighborhood from the back of the couch. I have a history of bolting out an open door, so a fenced yard might be best for me. My foster parent has not experienced a problem, though. I get along with other dogs and kids, but other dogs may cause marking. I currently have two foster brothers and am doing very well, but I may do best as an only dog with humans that want to spend lots of time walking and lavishing me with love and attention.
My adoption fee is $250, or $200 if I’m adopted by a senior. I will come up to date on all of my vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and will come with some of my own toys – though I’m not picky on those as long as they squeak. If you want a whole lot of happiness and cuteness in your home, please complete my application.
