All of her life, Michelle Cehn [[Sen]] has known she was adopted and says she had a wonderful childhood, but she always wondered about her birth parents. Her adoptive mom helped her track down her birth mother in 2009 and they met, but the woman didn’t know who Michelle’s birth father was.
So the 31-year-old decided to have her DNA tested on several genetic testing sites and last April, one of her biological dad’s relatives reached out. From there, Michelle used Facebook to find the man who’s name she had: Greg Hicks. She saw his photo and knew and a paternity test confirms, he is indeed her birth father.
Hicks had no idea he had a daughter but the pair finally had the chance to meet. A video of the touching moment shows Hicks running up to Michelle and embracing her. "He was so excited and jumped up onto a concrete block and I immediately thought that it was something I would have done,” Cehn says. “He brought me into a big bear hug and it was so, so cool.”
