Dad’s graduation present for his daughter is pretty much the best gift ever

When Anissa Dellaripa graduated from college recently, her dad got her a present: a scratch off lottery ticket. The 22-year-old Connecticut woman says he often buys scratchers for her for fun, but this one was special - not because it was a graduation gift - but because it was a winner!

Anissa’s $1 Win for Life ticket won her the top prize of $2,000 a month for the rest of her life! She says she was shocked and thought her dad had given her a fake ticket at first as a joke, but then she realized she really won. Anissa opted to take the payout over the lump sum, which would have come out to $400,000.

"It's a lot of money for me because I'm so young. I just graduated in June with an Associate's Degree. This prize will help me to go back to school for my Bachelor's Degree,” the grateful grad explains. “It's a gift my father can leave me with for the rest of my life.”
