Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, making her the first female country artist in history to score four #1 albums. Cry Pretty sold 266,000 total copies in its first week of release to notch the best-selling week for any country release in 2018 and the best opening week since Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights debuted with more than 320,000 copies in August 2015. In doing so, Underwood also bested the first week sales record set by Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacyearlier this year.
