Man Sings Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” for 36 Hours

A Washington state karaoke host raised money for breast cancer awareness this week by singing the same Garth Brooks song for 36 hours straight. Local news affiliate Q13 FOX reports that Cliff Satterwhite aimed to raise $10,000 to benefit the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation, a branch of the American Cancer Society, by holding a one-man karaoke session with "Friends in Low Places" as the only song. “My sister is diagnosed, a two-time survivor,” Satterwhite tells the news station of his motivation. He started singing at midnight Tuesday, October 2, at Stars Bar and Grill in Federal Way and finished with a celebratory breakfast on Wednesday, October 3, at noon. He is also accepting donations at the American Cancer Society website, via “Cliff's Real Men Wear Pink Page.”
