Carly Pearce says she knows fiancé Michael Ray is “the one” because they had a similar upbringing and share a lot of the same values. "Where we’re going, who we were raised by, how we were raised, what we value — we both have very old souls,” Pearce tells Taste of Country. “I think what's important to us really lined up and what we prioritize and the kind of passions that we have.” She goes on to explain, “We both are very driven people and our hearts are the same. I don't know how I explain that." Ray proposed to Pearce on Dec. 19, 2018, while they were vacationing in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
