Little Caesars Unveils New Planteroni Pizza Made With Plant-Based Pepperoni
With all types of restaurants jumping on the plant-based meat wagon, Little Caesars has joined in with the unveiling of its new Planteroni Pizza made with the new Field RoastPlant-Based Pepperoni. So far it’s only available in select Little Caesars locations in like:
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- San Francisco
- New York City
- Portland, Oregon
- Detroit – Little Caesars' hometown
But if it catches on, they say we will se it spread quickly to other cities.
You can choose from a regular Planteroni Pizaa for $8.49 or a Slices-n-Sticks offering which consists of half of a Planteroni Pizza and half cheesy, buttery breadsticks for $8. In addition, the Plant-Based Pepperoni can be added as a topping on any pizza of your choice.
The new ingredient is said to deliver an authentic, bold pepperoni taste and is the first alternative pepperoni on the market that’s made with pea protein, not soy, and includes fresh spices like garlic, paprika, cracked black pepper and whole pieces of fennel. Field Roast made its plant-based pepperoni debut earlier this year and Little Caesars is the first national chain to do a U.S.rollout.
